Forward Only Missed Calls on T-Mobile

T-Mobile dial codes to forward unanswered, busy and unreachable calls to your answering service, keep your phone ringing first, and verify it took.

What this does

On T-Mobile, these steps send only the calls you don't answer to your answering service. Your phone rings first and your business number does not change. Replace [your DispatchAI number] with the number you are given when you start a DispatchAI trial.

Steps

  1. On iPhone, turn off Live Voicemail first: Settings → Apps → Phone → Live Voicemail. Apple says it stops carrier no-answer forwarding from working, and iOS updates can switch it back on.
  2. Open your phone's dialer.
  3. For calls you don't answer, dial: **61*[your DispatchAI number]# then press call.
  4. For calls that come in while you're already on the phone, dial: **67*[your DispatchAI number]# then press call.
  5. For when your phone is off or has no signal, dial: **62*[your DispatchAI number]# then press call.
  6. Check it took: dial *#61# and press call — the screen should show [your DispatchAI number] as where unanswered calls go. If it shows voicemail or another number, dial ##61#, then set it again.

To turn it off

Dial ##61#, ##67#, and ##62# (each followed by call) to turn each one off.

Codes depend on your carrier and plan. If something doesn't take, your carrier's support line can set it up in a couple of minutes. See the call forwarding overview for the other carriers.

Questions

Will my phone still ring first on T-Mobile?

Yes. These steps set up conditional forwarding: your phone rings first, and only calls you don't answer, or that arrive while you are busy, are sent on. They do not forward every call.

Where do I get the number to forward to?

When you start a DispatchAI trial you are given your own DispatchAI number. Put that number wherever the steps show [your DispatchAI number].

How do I turn it off?

Dial ##61#, ##67#, and ##62# (each followed by call) to turn each one off.

It didn't work. What should I check?

Codes are carrier- and plan-dependent and can fail silently when mistyped. Re-enter the code, test with a real call, and if it still doesn't take, ask your carrier to enable call forwarding on your line.
